/me did not have to wait long : )

  2. nina says:

havent downloaded it yet, but i suspect its something i have heard already anyway :o\

  3. Jaxx Tardis says:

No big announcement in this one. A lot of fluff and “we’re working on it!”. I did like the story about the disco being demolished. Talk about flair πŸ˜‰

  4. Nothing too exciting – a normal speech. At least they made an appearence.

  5. isadorafiddlesticks says:

    shame on them griefers!

  6. Taff Nouvelle says:

the griefers lasted a few minutes, and caused us a small amount of clearing up, not even worth mentioning πŸ™‚

@8: there aren’t any plans to create a transcript for immediate release. However, I will updating this blog with links to video for download as well.

  9. Argent Stonecutter says:

Oh well, I guess I’ll wait for the resident blogger transcripts. Someone will post a URL soon enough.

  10. Tao Takashi says:

Well, I quickly skimmed over it and I must say that there is not much to actually transcribe.. I also wonder where all the spirit and enthusiam happened to go. IMHO this did not sound like visionaires going foward but more like some job out of many you have to do – dealing with residents.

Basic message: Big growth, many opportunities, many issues, they work on them. And it’s all exciting although it does not sound like it πŸ˜‰

    a bore?

  13. Darien Caldwell says:

I have to admit the part about any attempt to represent the diversity of Second Life being sure to fail was a cute spin on things. Similar to the arguments heard again and again about how any attempt to protect IP is ‘sure to fail, so why try’. Yes, well, we are all going to die some day, so why bother living? Surely people can only see such arguments are defeatist and without merit.

One thing M said which I agree with is that Second Life is at a pivotal time in it’s history.

Happy Birthday SL, I sincerely hope there will be a 10th and a 25th birthday, but it will depend on the decisions made now.

  14. Escort DeFarge says:

Creativity, creativity, creativity. Yes – five years of resident creativity and apparently Philip still has the “best hair in Second Life” πŸ˜›

  15. Aaron J. Freeman says:

I’ve set both the audio and video to play at Mystic Academy Sandbox, but don’t know that I should be getting dead air.
A Tech Support Thread, or reference, might be handy, since I don’t play media very often.

  16. Doing says:

ha. The audio clip starts with Philip saying it feels like he’s been here 50 years. guess he’s experiencing the lag too finally.

  17. Tao Takashi says:

What was so bad about those comments which just have been deleted (about 10 less now)? I can understand that insulting comments and trolls are not good for a discussion but I didn’t really see this here.

  18. @Tao: Nothing necessarily bad, I noticed the same thing after I updated the video post (see my comment there). I don’t know what happened but looked for those comments and I don’t see them in the queue; my apologies for the confusion!

Ahahah, they deleted my comment! They actually deleted it!! I didn’t really expect that – Poor Linden Lab

  21. @8 What about Deaf residents? Most companies I know at least time a PR to be featured on their site when they make an announcement before a group.

You can delete my words, but not the facts that I speak of. If even the highest of Lindens cannot make SL work correctly, the problems are very bad indeed.
