[16 April 2008, 2052]  These issues have been resolved.  Thank you for your patience.

Currently, we are seeing issues with in-world presence, object e-mails, group chats, logging, and other things related to the deployment. Please watch here for updates as they become available.

    could this be why voice and people mysteriously vanishing from friends lists? if so ok no problem just curious cause has been happening over the last couple hours. oh well you usually get it fixed pretty fast. good luck

    Perhaps this is part of the ongoing shenanigans that begins daily at 12N SLT? Stale transfers, denied sales, etc?

    Come on…instead of paying us lip service, how about you address the issue and then work on fixing it?

    Well the more things change the more the stay the same or get worse.
    You would think that after all these crashes, you would have a handle on this but apparently not, but one thing is certain the more you pile on top of this mess the harder ti will be to find the root of these problems.

    ( I know this is somewhat off the subject but.. it’s the only way I will be heard) – The newest RC is not any more stable than the last for Nvidia.

    I crash randomly at startup, and it has a severe memory leak after about an hour, it is unusable.

    Also, perhaps you should take a serious look at the H4 benefits vs the downfalls? I think you will find that the downfalls far outweigh the benefits. – My 2 cents.

    You guys keep saying you have resolved the issues, yet all the issues seem to be related, the other day we had teleport issues, log in issues, now your going to say its unrelated to this issue when its the excate issues as we always have, its called instability, I Loged in and all I saw was fences around with only the blue sky, Linden lab, Some of us will not fall for your these are unrelated issues to the other issues,

    Let me put this blunty, Issues are Issues, they all link together. some way some how, Today its trouble logging in and blue floating sky standing on nothing, the other day it was kinda smiler, same concept, we had issues, we’ve been having issues every week. at least 2-4times a Week. So as a Mentor, instructor, I am begging you, Please do something this is becoming nonsense, every other game out on Earth every other virtual world runs stable but SL, they aren’t as great as second life but they Run, Heck even maple story runs better then second life, and its made by a lower end company

    this is so annoying for all..and has been happening for weeks now, Grey people, inventory not loading, inworld failing to rezz, Randomly being booted from sl.
    i run a club like many others, with Group IM’s Not working, Group Notices, friends conference not working, we might as well close up, after all we still have to pay land tier, buy lindens and Yes.. Lindens will still expect our $9.95 per month..

If the problem reoccurs with in hours its not resolved. In some cases when you say resolved I’m thinking wth are you smoking thinking this crap is resolved.     On another note, I agree with one of the other posters, regarding the issues themselves not being mentioned. I don’t want to complain too much about this, but I believe it could be helpful if problems were detailed in any posts made, regarding in world problems. it would sae people beginning building etc… at times when their efforts are seemingly wasted

    Before turning out a forced ** NEW FIX PATCH ** Download and Everyone gets peblems..
    Shouldnt this be tested fully for a few weeks on a Beta Grid? and Not forcing it out Live???
    When i started Sl about a yr and half ago.. there wasn’t any problems at all, sometimes rezzing took a while due to the amount of people online at a single sim.. But No in world issues and nothing a quick relog wouldnt fix..
    But now the People ONLINE are half the amount there was back then, due to ..
    1) the amount of problems.
    2) The Anti gambling rules, taking away slots, sploders etc.. That was Fun for people and harmless..

    but i see SL’s Role play rape, BDSM and SLAVERY, shooting people on a sim is acceptable.

    Lindens – we all want you to reply to us but you still continue to ignore us. Are you going to ever refund us for the fortune we spend with you in world? How about reduced tier fees or extended services? Extended free classifieds? The ‘service’ you offer is a joke nowdays. Nah course you won’t because that takes integrity. Try looking that word up one day – its not like you seem to do much else nowdays but screw things up anyway.

    No no, don’t worry, keep working on side projects and features, rather then fixing bugs that have plagued SL for upwards of months, if not a year or more (like group chat errors). I hear that there different teams to work on different parts of SL, but as I’ve seen it, there is no point in having multiple groups if the entirety barely chugs along as is.

    Yes, thanks for posting this update. I have been working with an object that uses object-to-object email extensively, and for a while there I thought I was losing my mind (or my code was). Now I know it wasn’t me!

    hmm “I’m sorry for the inconvience”, Thank you for your Patience” is getting old, FAST. Fix it, or take a step back to a previous stable dl, and then fix the “great H4”, which to me is not so great. Think about small buisness owners, and major companies in game that lose sales, they never get those down times in transactions back. Ever think about helping or offer asistance to them? Doubtfull. done venting..fix the problem please

    Would be nice if you folks at LL would work on fixing the broken stuff first, instead of adding more to this thing… I’ve been suffering from memory error crashes which i find hard to belived seens how SL is the only thing i have running and having 2gig of ram.. go figures… Cant update to new version cuz you ppl screwed up the graphics settings Just had to add a auto setting feature to it when the old one worked just fine.. when are you ppl gonna learn?? Then you try to blow smoke up our rears saying our video drivers need to be updated, or our computers need to be updated.. what about the ppl that have older puters and older video cards??? you don’t give a 4 cent care about them only how you look to others which at this point is like a bunch of fools… Once again Try fixing the broken stuff first b 4 adding more un-needed BS…

    Since last update sl is a mess…more lag. tp problems. delivery of products no goes…I pay more of 155 $ every month, 1860 $ every year (omg)…if my electricity server, that costs really less of that, assume responsability of service…what happens with sl? I love sl…really think that it can be future of a lot of things, but Why RL Companies, University, and more people dont make more things in this Virtual World? Because their offer is incompatible with every day technical issues. Please, resolve all this problems and let SL grows…no dies

    Does in world presence refer at all to objects and their being missing? Currently, I am missing about 3000 objects I had rezzed out on my parcel and these items have not been returned to my lost and found or any part of my inventory, just poof! gone!

    I checked around and this appears to be a problem in the entire sim of Minna, where neighbours are also missing many objects that were rezzed.

    I would really appreciate knowing where all my objects went…

    Just before i upgraded to 19.0, I started to freeze…no curer, no ctrl-alt-delete. i had to hard boot 3 or 4 times a day. When upgraded to 1.20.0 and it got worse. Hard Booted 10-15 times a day..GRRrrr.
    Ver 20.0 ate 3/4 of my inventory and left the empty folders. i am on a fixed income and will take forever to replace. Why is this happening. Update 20.1 is a little better for me…still time to load inventory, can’t open attachments, lag in chat, and as day gets later the freezing starts again. I am afraid to buy anything. You seem to be heading in right direction but who is replacing my inventory…SECOND LIFE?

    Linden, please show us the graph and information about events and issues. Please make a experience of uncomfortable index rather than technical down time service. Interrupt service, unhappy database and unable unable logging seem like our daily meal. It is about time to consider reduce my land holding.

    I believe you at LL are working very hard on SL and deserve a pat on the back & not a slap in the face. SO many people don’t have anything better to do than point out the flaws with something rather than be happy for what they have. SL is a great experience and should there be maintenance or other in-world issues, that’s the price you pay for such great technology. Things are bound to break and luckily they are also bound to be fixed. Keep up the great work LL.

    Resolved? Last min’s story. Still cannot log in. I was about to start a transaction on land. I think should with hold large money transaction. I believe LL doing great work but that does not mean we have to bear with them. I pay membership fees and tier there. They are holding a business promising. Is that really ok for your internet connection unscheduled disconnect everyday? Is it really great that your company website cannot connect outside due to hosting company’s unscheduled down or issues?

    I had trouble logging in yesterday. Took three times before I was online. While positioning some linked objects I received several notices indicating that I did not have permission to move the object. When hovering in fly mode I have noticed a degree of bobbing and it feels like my avatar is sinking. It is very nauseating especially while building and flying. The world map has been slow to open but getting better.

    With so many personal complaints it is clear to see why comments have been closed for some time. We have all been given the opportunity to participate in the creation and development of this new frontier that is Second Life. Demonizing the creators of this amazing world will do little to strengthen our relationship.

    I know you are working hard, but please fix the basic issues before adding any more “enhancements.” SL is all about friends, groups, building, shopping, dancing. It is not about fancy graphics. If my friends list won’t load, I can’t talk to them. If my group notices and chat don’t work, I may as well not schedule or try to attend any activities. If my inventory disappears or purchase transactions fail, what is the point of shopping? If I can’t save a revised notecard or a build, what is the point of trying to create anything? If there are constant problems with all of these activities, as there have been for over a month recently, what is the point of SL? Especially if I can’t even log in.

    Any chance that LL will allow us the courtesy of NOT paying ad fees since we have all lost so much these past few weeks? Commerce hasnt continued, yet we still are charged as if everything is happy. If we as merchants feel the pinch, so should our service.

    I can’t help myself, Look people this world is what we have made it. The Classifieds how much does it cost to be at the top of the listings? Try and tell me someone who pays 50k for an advertisement is not making money.
    If I have 16 4096meter plots rented how much money is that and how much is the Linden tier?
    Downtime. They want kickbacks for downtime. And exactly how does one calculate the value of your unsold whore uniforms or humping machine?
    Computer problems loaded 1.9 uh box said you are not compatible or some crap I click the box continue and works fine. 512mb of ram with a factory graphics card a real computer not a laptop. So many questions about os and none anyone should answer for security reasons.

    Would be really nice if I could manage to login at times that suit me to play, and then be able to stay on and do anything at all other than look at the sky and water. Hopefully one day I will be able to again.
    Cos I did used to enjoy SL, and miss it.

    But on the other hand I do really need to thank Live Chat Support for saving my butt late last night (aussie time). If not for them coming to my rescue, I would have lost the land (just a mere 762 sq m) I have waited patiently almost 3 years to acquire.

    Want to ditch the latest and bug ridden client versions and go back to a version that was stable and working for you but were forced to “downgrade” to the latest broken viewers??

    It’s easy, all you do is install the older version again, assuming you have the install file saved and edit the desktop shortcut.
    In the target line of the shortcut you only need to edit the end bit after the .exe file
    The target line should look something like this: (varies due to user setup)

    C:\Program files\Secondlife\Secondlife.exe” -channel noupdate

    This will force the client to not check for mandatory updates.

    I hope the issue with Mac desktops and mice will be solved in the new RC. My view is bumping around in all directions, and sometimes my avatar moves without taking the view with her (I turn around, and see myself facing the screen, or walk off into the distance while the view stands still).

    Using the alt button and zoom in or cam around? Very, very difficult. Plus, I have trouble changing the time of the day, and with sitting. In short: I’m forced not to use WindLight.

    Lindens, please, take heed of this. Riven Homewood brings up a very valid point (posts 48 & 49): We’re unable to experience Second Life as it was intended. No friends lists, no chat, no build…. it’s getting to the point where people are forced to look for alternative solutions- like the one suggested by Wolfe Bain (post 55): use an older, more stable client. And that’s not going to fix everything, just the client-side difficulties and errors. Why not put all the extras, additions and enhancements on hold?

    I realize that it’s difficult (VERY difficult) to do what I’m about to suggest, but don’t dismiss it out of hand: rebuild it. Talk to anyone who was here a year ago, two years, or from back to the beginning. Ask them what has changed. Most will say that everything was flawless at the start. Going between sims- on foot or otherwise- was something you never worried about.

    The base code, on both sides, but the server especially- is doing things it was probably never intended to do.

    A house with a flawed foundation will collapse. The SL ‘foundation’ is sound, but it’s doing things it was never meant to do. You’ve built a skyscraper and simply placed it on top of a two-story house. Make a team to build a new set of server and client side apps, built from the ground up to work with SL as you’re trying to make it work today. Then migrate us all over there. Heck, if it means bug-free and trouble-free SL experience, I’ll take a week or two off to let you get it all right. All I ask is that you DO so.

    All the patching and additions and all are great- Windlight is gorgeous beyond words, even on low settings, and on high it’s practially a work of art- but all that wonderful graphical beauty is lost if we can’t log in, can’t experience the world.

    Please. Give us what you’ve been saying. Take the time to do it right, rather than do a quick fix. Duct tape and bailing wire can only hold something together too long before it completely comes apart.

    That’s all I ask.

    I have just had the opportunity to read through these comments and I have to say it has helped me put my own rather troubled SL times in perspective.

    I am enjoying SL tremendously … the challenges are seemingly endless … but in common it seems with many many other residents the endless round of fixing builds and searching for inventory items has become rather a tiresome burden.

    I have worked in IT service related areas for many years … many of those services have been critical ones provided to support the infrastructure of national services … There are ways of avoiding the poor user experience.

    All I am urging you to do is get an ‘overview’ of what you are doing … if it means getting a new set of eyes on the roadmap then get some independent expertise in … you are on the brink of having either an amazing virtual world – or NO RESIDENTS!!

    Give some thought please to reigning in some of the obvious technical experise and enthusiasm you at LL obviously have and focus back on the customer experience.

    Having said all of that I am now going to enjoy SL and … even if some of my comment may not suggest it … Thumbs UP to eveyone at LL … You are SERIOUSLY talented people!!!

    i cant get dressed …cant build…cant put things in my shop/s…new things i bought seemd to have disapperared…i am not getting group messages or ims…this is familiar pattern for soo long isnt funny…how about u look at the old issues…spend real time in world and then start bringing out new viewers and stuff…is time to listen to the people of SL…where would u be without us…ohhh and most annoying is not getting replies from support tickets about land issues…time to show that u appreciate the money we put into the coffers and listen and help us for a change…make the game user friendly…please!!!

    Please, I beg you … STOP with LYING as NOTHING is RESOLVED.
    Still TP Problems, and all the other fun stuff all the other Residents posted here already ….

    And by the way … by enforcing things upon the Residents, you just get the opposite result … YOU are chasing Residents away …. as already a great part of the European Residents did leave . Maybe due to the fact that Europeans aren t so sheepish by accepting a borked medium at each new “release” or “update” … Europeans are more picky I think about Quality than in the US ….

    I know, that creating a virtual world like Second Life isn t easy at all, and that sometimes there can be some problems …. BUT have seen the difference since last year when I logged in the first time …. well Dear Lindens, Give me back that time pls … Suffered some minor problems, a quick relog, and all was working again …

    Now-a-days, I personally first log into the site to check IF the situation is SNAFU TARFU or FUBAR .. even before logging into SECOND LIFE …. and if TARFU or FUBAR I prefere to do my dishes or ironing than logging in ….

    Just a few words of advice, you take them or leave them.

    1. Let the left hand know what the right hand is doing (apparantly this is not the case right now)

    2. Get a decend Quality Control before “updating” or “releasing” things.

    3. Dont take the Residents for granted, for a certainty

    4. Try for once to communicate with the Residents, not inworld but on the site …. Because inworld isn t possible because of Lag .. or IF Second Life is online at that moment ….

    To END still a big hearty THANK YOU for the fun world that Second Life can be ( If ONLINE, and not suffering from bugs and glitches)

    damn are u kidding me …. i tryed to logg in ,they told me to download the new version … the new version didnt work …..and since it finally worked and i had the chance to push the connect button it told me to install the old version ..when i downloaded the old version and tryed to logg in sl told me again to install the new version WTF??? fix this damn probs pls ….its just annoying allways any problems with sl …. IT BLOWS!!!

    Laughs it doesnt matter what part of the world……….( here in Japan included) If Quility is bad it reflects in its ability to have people pay for service………In that case Second Life is in deep rabbit Poo.

    not resolved as usual…I was trying to rezz things just now…I could, eventually, after about 4 minutes things appears. I thought to myself to go look in the blog if anything is the matter…and then I refrased that thought in my head…”when is something NOT the matter?” Never it seems…and sadly things are getting progressively worse. Why are tp’s taking forever to go through now since the new viewer? just an example…

    What is wrong with the people who run Second Life. I realize that people can live without Second Life… However it seems like every other day there is an issue on Second Life. They keep saying to upgrade to this and it will fix it… but nope that didn’t work. They keep giving other reasons now. Isn’t there someone who actually specializes in fixing these problems that continue to happen. You either can’t sign on, you lag, or you crash.

    I wonder how many of us are laughing and/or cursing every time you have this opinion survey and you ask us to tell you if our SL experience becomes better or worst as the time goes by…personally I believe it’s pointless to ask smth like that coz you should already know the answer. Anyways…after a certain while you just don’t get upset with all these problems I believe….you just make fun of it and you try to guess when the whole thing will go BOOM for good…

    well sadly all is still not working right. No voice at this moment, loggs are saved although I always have that option out. So for no loggs I have to change the settings everytime I log in.
    Ow and one more thing….. I really really would like to see my skirts when I put them on….Hope you help us out soon.

    But why is there nothing on the blog over this??? It shows that all things yesterday are resolved but this is today so I think a new update would be handy??

    But further I have to stay honest.,.. still have no regrest of being a sl resident and I hope to stay that as long as possible so keep up all the good work behind the scene.

    Starting to get REALLY angry now.
    I own land, fashionbusiness with 64 shops (and 64 rents to pay) a livemusicvenue (with 10 booked musicians each week) and are a livemusician aswell (booked up to 7 days per week) in SL and last weeks NOTHING is working anymore.
    Started from that saturday april 4th.

    I have suffered hugh incomelosts because of all issues – I can not sell from my shops or do my booked shows or run my scheduled events if its not even possible to log in. :-O

    I DO NOT NEED ANY FANCY LOOKING WATER AROUND ME – I NEED A STABLE SL SO I CAN HAVE MY BUSINESSES WORKING!!!

    My whole graphiccard totally blow up. I could not see a shit – everything went crazy, no matter how I confugurated in preferences.
    And NO, my graphiccard is not old, my computer is not slow and I have all the latest drivers!!
    Lucky I found the old more stable version that I after almost two days with graphicmess could reinstall.

    That was like 12 hours ago and now … I can not log in, and no explainations here in the blog whats causing that, whish is strange since I know many others having the same problem now. :-/

    So again – how can I have my business working in SL and/or schedule my events and/or be able to do all shows I´m booked at if I not even can log in??

    And how can you bee so greedy that you actually think I should pay you for a service that does not work even halfgood anymore??
    (I have my first rezday next week so I have one year of experience of SL and it has become MUCH more unstable since I started here!)

    STOP DOING ALL THE FANCY UPDATESHIT AND CONCENTRATE ON THE PROBLEMS INSTEAD! THANKS!

    I sold my land and downgraded my account to free. At one time I had a club, store, art gallery, and rentals. I have found that many of the “new” members are just alts and camping bots. Land prices are so unstable now I would recommend everyone still owning land to put it up for sale and cross their fingers. It’s very sad that many places are closing because of all of the problems here. All we ever hoped for was a stable world and and a chance to make something of it.

    But I will say this this, with one keystoke they wiped out both Surfing and Sailing, 2 of the “Big 3”, leaving only Sex working (sorta). They break that and SL will be empty overnight, LOL.

H4 went a WHOLE lot better than I thought it would – to your credit – but these other problems, the borking of transactions, groupchat, IM’s, inventory et seq. — their persistence is starting to go beyond the pale.

    With all due respect, what you think how long you can do this? You understand that this issues since at least four weeks are a really really bad for any business? With all the Problems the past four weeks the Economy is on the ground. I don’t believe your statistics, because you made them. I’ll try now to clear all things and wait till all rents runs out and then i’m leaving SL. From time to time i will look if things better now, but i’m sure you can fix the problems.

    Stop to take money for this pre alpha test, or lower the prices who would fit for a pre-alpha test, maybe 10 US$ / Month for a SIM. At the moment no island is more worth then this.

    One of these days SL is just going to pull up on us and take every dime of lindens and US dollars we have and close up shop. After a couple years you will see a new game sorta like SL with a new name. It will be the hiden SL 2.0 that everyone wonders about. You know the new code writen from top to bottom yeah that code. Ive been out of town for about a week now. I miss SL but when I come back I log on and remember that SL is almost un usable as I cant even walk. I press the arrow key and walk two steps and freeze. Let off the arrow key and walk forward to the place that id have been if id really stayed walking lol. I have to actually tap my arrow keys to move around in SL now. I have seen tons of problems with SL in the years that ive been here but when its getting to the point that I cant even move around then the game just isnt fun anymore.
    Ive got over 3 grand just in my tower and play the top of the line games on the market without flaws lol. SL is a HUGE mess and I wonder if my supper computer CANT run SL very well, Then what about the normal everyday user that has a lower grade computer? If you could get a dollar from 1 million people you would be rich. But when you run off those lower paying customers that cant afford to pay big dollars for high end computers you are losing TONS of money.

    But I have an issue with the website. When I load the “my account” page, I see it in German. I am German, but I prefer the English website since I’m used to it by now. When I click the English flag in the upper right corner, it takes me to the index page. I click “my account” on that page and – I’m back at the German website.

    I managed to get the English account page by modifying the URL, but after using the LindeX, the incomplete German account site loads again. Can you please allow us to set a language preference somewhere, or store the previously used language version in a cookie?
    Also, it would be nice to have direct access to the Buy L$ / Sell L$ links again, without the need to load an additional page first. I wonder why this has been changed. Never change a running system 🙂

    I understand how tough it must be to keep this leaking vessel from sinking but at the same time I´m paying through the nose. Over 200.000L in lost inventory in the last year alone and 1000 bucks a month, try that for awhile and see if it does´nt get U to speak out.

  127. I think that Linden labs need some hard-case project managers that will focus on the product, rather than be touchy-feely with the “talent”. A decent systems architect would also be useful. We pay a lot for our private island, even at educational rates, and need to know that the grid will be stable when we start using the island for “real” teaching and research.

    Hey folks,
    LindenLabs can nothing do to fix the Viewer on your Computer. I have a midsized computer, 3,2Ghz Intel CPU with Hyperthreading, 2Gig RAM, nvidia gforce 7600GT and i have no problems like you. It’s up to you to keep your Computer up-to-date, don’t blame LL for this. You should also keep your OS up-to-date. I’m playing guildwars, crysis, farcry and some other games on my computer too, without any problems. Sure, sometimes the Viewer crashes and the memory leak is horrible, but that happens. My last Viewer crash was round about 2 weeks ago – and i’m daily in-world for several hours.

    But LL could try to get the grid stable. At least a good communication like the Havok-Team (great job guys) or the remembrance-day team (i dislike it more and more, no one needs a fixed day to remember missing friends). The most posts with problems are closed, because LL won’t listen to us – it seems so. If comments are enabled, not one LL-Employee answers on the comments. Take a look at Sidewinder, he likes the contact with us, why not all others too?

    I need round about 4 weeks to clear all my things in SL and the most rentals runs out in for weeks. If the grid messed up like yet, i’m leaving (and i know from many other ppl who sales their SIMs and leave SL too).

    So please LL, you get enough money from your residents, catch some high skilled programmers and fix all the problems. At the moment SL looks like a pre-alpha test and nothing more.

    I read all these comments and I mostly agree with them all. SL has of late become worse than ever. I agree they are stripping resources off to do stupid little projects and addons that no one really cares about, but they never listen to use anymore so they will do what they want. They dont even give out good source codes for the viewers anymore so the people who made viewers that were actually more stable than LLs can no longer do so(case in point, go read Nicholaz’s blog, he is no longer making viewers cause of it).

    I will not agree with those saying we should thank you and encourage you for fixing things like this. One reason, it has been the same occurring issues non-stop everyday for almost a month straight, always you pass it off as a new reason, ISP one day, server crash the next, power failure,etc, need I really go on? Then you insult those who actually pay you to play this game, by ignoring us, showing us that you have absolutely no care in what we say by disabling comments on every blog post lately, and of course by not even reading anything we say here.

    All these issues on our your side, quite a few people run good mid-high end machines that run lag free in some of the most challenging MMOs with 3 to 4 times the logged in players as SL ever has and yet SL tells us to update our drivers or replace our hardware?

    The fees you are charging are getting ridiculous given the sheer number of issues and downtimes, you guys keep expecting more and more money from the people playing SL and yet you are offering nothing but headaches and disappointments to everyone, including those saying good job, but who are just saving face.

    Bottomline, start earning all that money you get paid from tiers, land sales, etc, cause we all know it doesnt cost no $1700 for the servers you run, especially when it runs 4 or 5 sims or more per. Drop all the extras you think we need, but no one really wants or cares about(voice chat comes to mind there). And start getting all those asset issues fixed not resolved, FIXED so they quit happening all the time. Cause if you dont, soon all you will have is a bunch of noobs running around nude with their cocks hanging out hitting on anything with breasts and that will pretty much be it.

    Sorry, this is everything but a “great” technology. It is a great idea, this metaverse. The technologies used by LL are only average. Nothing to be excited about at all.

    Question: How would you react if you bought a brandnew computer (computing is a great idea, too, and you get a nice one for the price of a SL island), and this computer does not work correctly half of the time? The price you pay for such a great technology?

    I don´t know what is wrong with my SL

    I have been logged out for one week, and today when i got my internet back on, i try to connect to SL and keeps coming up a message that says i was logged out from the sistem and that wouldn´t be available until certain time of pacific hour… after the time as past, same message keeps appearing all the time, even if i wait until the time they say so, it keeps goin on for hours and hours!

    Could someone do anything about it, its really upsetting that i cant get connected as i am dying to get online, and talk with my friends.

    HELP PLEASE, AND SOONNNNNN… SOMEON FIX THIS!!!!!!!

    have not been able to log in for over an hour. I keep getting same message that my account won’t be available until —— and that time keeps changing everytime I try to log in. And there is no explanation of what is going on. No wonder people keep leaving sl. it is always broke!

    If you have an ATI graphics card you MUST uncheck the Enable VBO in Preferences and the Adv Graphics Tab or if you are using the 1.20 client it is in Graphics tab and at the bottom right is Hardware Options. Also uncheck Shaders.

    To find what Graphics card you have look under HELP and at the bottom About Second Life.
    I have helped many people with this.

    I am so sick and tired of seeing the word “Resolved” in just about every post you guys at LL make. NOTHING is “resolved” in this place. It is more like “Dissolved”. There are alot of us in here that are loosing ALOT of money EVERY single day because of the nightmare you all have created..SALES totally suck now and all you all do is keep saying things are “RESOLVED”. You people at LL are very quick to take our money from us in a heart beat for land and Teirs and memberships and what not and are even qiucker to put a hold on our accounts till we pay up! but what do we get in return for providing the money that pays your sorry salaries??? WE get “RESLOVED” and a game that works like crap… TY LL…..”RESOLVED”

    Is this the grand final meltdown of SL? I’ve tried *every* competing synthetic world and *none* of them have the instability and problems of Second Life. Active Worlds, HiPiHi, NovoKing, Multiverse, There.com, Twinity, Vastpark, and others all run crash free while Second Life doesn’t.

    All the alternative grids seem at least as reliable as Linden Labs servers while offering land at roughly one fourth of Second Life prices. Additionally, some grids are allowing attachment of sims running on users computers, effectively bringing the price per meter to near zero.

    World of Warcraft recently passed one million concurrent users on it’s Chinese servers and the WOW blogs weren’t full of apologies for system failures. Yes, that is a sharded system, but customers were kept happy and operations worked normally.

    In 30+ years of computing experience I’ve never seen a high profile product function as poorly as Second Life. Has there ever been a project released and marketed with such a high level of code immaturity?
