Maintenance downtime on Feb. 28 starting at 7 AM

Second Life’s Grid will be down for approximately 4 hours starting at 7 AM on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007. We’ll will continue to post updates to our blog as appropriate, so please keep checking back.

The reason for the downtime is we need to perform preventative maintenance for Second Life’s future stability; this is top priority to us because of ongoing challenges which’ve kept us very busy. We know how important it is that your inworld experience is an enjoyable one.

Just to be clear: there is no update scheduled for Wednesday, February 28th, just downtime for maintenance. (Thanks Josh!)

Please note that while the main Grid will be down, you can still visit the Beta Test Grid, for testing purposes only, to get your SL fix. Edit: the Beta Test Grid will be closed for approximately the first hour of this downtime. We’ll endeavor to have it open as quickly as possible.

Your patience is appreciated as we continue to improve your Second Life.
