There Can Only Be One

In the beginning, Linden made a blog. And it was good.

And it came to pass, when blogs began to multiply on the face of the Web, and The Linden saw that the lack of updates in the hearts of the blogs, and it grieved him at his heart.
And The Linden said, “I will destroy these blogs whom I have created from the face of the Web; both internal, and external, and the laggy updates, and the ever-growing RSS feeds; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

“And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of “rm -f”s upon the Web, to destroy all blogs; and every thing that is in the blogs shall die.”

The Second Life Blog is an attempt to merge all of our collective blogs into one megablog, with frequent and diverse updates.

Hopefeully, as we get more and more Lindens on board to blog here, this will become the official unofficial blog of Linden Lab. The goal is for diverse, transparent discussions about everything Linden Lab related, and that will necessarily be a lot about Second Life as well.  Welcome, and I hope you enjoy the ride.  I also hope that it will be an awesome rollercoaster of fun and utility rather than a placid blog ride.

I’m finding this very creepy. Our only hope for the revolution was if we could hope to pry off at least some Linden faction sympathetic to our cause, and possible convince that faction to bore from within, and eventually divide and conquer.

Now, with this Unite for Unity campaign unifying the Information Space, our revolution is doomed to…delay. Not failure, however. Because, as Chairman Mao said, water wears away the stone. Our cause is just!

OK, well, while we wait for the Revo to come, I do have to say the graphics on this site are darn medicinal. I feel like I’m waiting in line at the CVS with my old prescription and staring at the label and looking at all the rows of white medicine with typed lables on it. I mean, it’s just awfully clinical. I haven’t seen this much white since the snowstorm in January. The other website at least had some colour bars to kind of break up this desert.

I really need to understand why this generation thinks it is cool and modern to have very tiny hard-to-read type surrounded by acres of blank white. I mean, have they been looking at screens too long or something?

not to be a sci fi dork, but i think the phrase was “there can be only one”, not “there can ony be one.” You guys aren’t bloggers are you? it’s been like 8 months and…nothing?!
