Map API!

OK, this is about the coolest thing ever.  Benny Linden, one of developers on the web team, has released the API for tasty interactive map on the Second Life homepage.  Now all the sights sites [thanks, Frans] out there that have been gathering interesting data about SL have a cool and easy way to display it.  Plus, now that P2P teleporting is in, you’ll be able to go directly to whatever you’ve found.  Let the remixing begin!

(Now, all we need to do is to close the loop.  Look for an update on Firefox integration real soon now . . .)

I agree the Map API is AWESOME. Benny did a fantastic job. I can’t wait to mess around with this and work on something for the History project with this. 😀

SL needs more APIs like this that let us screw around with the code! 🙂

  3. FYI: Links to the API documentation are broken.

After much frustration and time spent, I’m trying to find wooded parts for Benny Linden designed chairs made in Thailand. I have twelve of them and all have come unglued or broken. Is there any help out there for me?
    Thank you in advance.
