According to the title and first sentence, you’ll be updating to 1.12.2(*2*). But the bullet point items listed are for 1.12.2(*5*).

Errr, just to clarify, are you updating the grid to 1.12.2(2) or 1.12.2(5)?
Take care! ^..^

Uhm…. Just to clarify, will the grid be updated to 1.12.2(2) or 1.12.2(5)?
(slightly off-topic, it doesn’t seem to be accepting my comments….)
Take care! ^..^

I know you can’t give details, but are there any new grey goo provisions in this release?

I just got through trying the Open command and the “Fixed “Copy to Inventory” and “Copy and Wear”” problem did not seem to be solved.

Re my comment above about copy to inventory and copy to wear, I probably clicked Copy and Wear on an item which had only attachment objects in its contents.
That won’t “copy and wear” because it has no clothes, right. My sense of what “wear” means in common speech in SL makes me think it should attach objects that designed to be attached.
So I retract my comment in the post above.

Sorry it should have been 1.12.2(5) – I’ve updated it in the original post, thanks for the eagle eyes!

Any chances of you at least publishing the new grey goo fence restrictions, so that most of my broken scripts can stand a chance at working?
Or, am I doomed to see things like “Force Prophecies: change name failure: grey goo fence: rapid name change, or asset rez” for the rest of my SL life?

OMG it’s me! I broke it! Well, not really, but I was one of the people who showed the Lindens that there was a problem. I was in the Welcome Area in the beta test grid during the downtime on Wednesday, and the Lindens asked me to stick around — some of my avatar textures weren’t rendering on their screens, though I looked fine on my own system. We traveled to a few different spots in the grid so they could see what would happen. I think the bug never showed up in beta because there was never a big enough crowd present; it wasn’t until people piled in during the downtime that the bug showed up.
The actual rollout will probably be neither 1.12.2(2) nor 1.12.2(5); there will surely be at least one more bug fix build before the rollout!

[...] Since 7am PDT/SLT, the Second Life grid has been down for the 1.12.2 release (Release Notes posted here). At the current time, our QA team is busy testing the new release on the grid. Barring the discovery of any new bugs, we hope to be back up by the planned 12:00 PM PDT/SLT uptime. I’ll be sure to report back if this information changes. [...]
